Attorney Thomas DeVore

The Inaugural recipient of the award was presented to Attorney Thomas DeVore on March 26, 2022. Tom was the only attorney in IL who educated parents and citizens on the law and empowered them to litigate for due process. Governor Pritzker called him a "grifter". We call him a "winner". Congrats, Tom!

Mr. Wynn felt called to protect children from the National Sex Ed Standards by calling IL school administrators regarding the concerns over the passing of Senate Bill 818. He created an excel sheet and tirelessly worked to update it when schools were deciding to adopt these sex ed standards. the sheet was integral to the Awake IL "opt out" campaign. Thanks to his efforts, more advocates took a stand to defend children. More than half of the 800+ districts opted out but the number may increase if we let down our guard. Jeff is running for Morris Community High School Board of Education. Congrats, Jeff!
