The U.S. Department of Justice has launched formal investigations into 36 Illinois public school districts for potentially teaching sexual orientation and gender ideology (SOGI) content in pre-K through 12th grade classrooms without properly notifying parents of their opt-out rights.
Upon request from our members and thanks to a generous grant, Awake Illinois' support of these investigations has expanded our portal to include ALL Illinois school districts.
The investigations also examine whether these districts are violating Title IX and Supreme Court precedent by failing to protect single-sex intimate spaces (bathrooms, locker rooms) and girls’ sports teams based on biological sex.
Awake Illinois is partnering with this effort by providing a secure, anonymous submission portal for parents, teachers, and school staff across Illinois. If you have documentation—such as lesson plans, classroom materials, emails, training slides, or other evidence showing SOGI instruction, lack of parental notification, or policies that override biological sex protections—your information can help the DOJ hold schools accountable.
Submissions can be anonymous and will be reviewed and forwarded directly to the Dept. of Justice contact. Not all submissions are guaranteed to be submitted.
No personal identifying information is required but an email is necessary for follow up questions or clarification. Submit your documentation securely in form below. If you are unable to use the form, please email all information to info@awakeIL.com.
Together, we can ensure Illinois schools respect parental rights and follow the law. Thank you for standing up for our children.
Thanks for submitting and supporting this important effort!
