Education/Parental Rights Issues Remain Front and Center in IL

WATCH FULL COVERAGE OF U.S. Secretary of Education's "Back to School Bus Tour 2023; Raise the Bar" IL BUS STOP IN SPRINGFIELD WITH COMMENTARY BY AWAKE IL FOUNDER SHANNON ADCOCK AND STATEMENT FROM CONGRESSWOMAN REP. MARY MILLER, via BISHOP ON AIR:

"Shannon Adcock, founder of the parents’ rights group Awake Illinois, said educators must focus on education. 'I would hope [Gov. Pritzker, Secretary Cardona, and Sup. Sanders] would start talking about literacy, about proficiency and how they’re actually going to focus on academic outcomes in the classroom, not political activism, not waging continued war on parental rights,' Adcock told The Center Square. "

U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona's “Back to School Bus Tour 2023: Raise the Bar” - had stops in IL this week that was joined by IL Governor Pritzker and IL Superintendent of Education Tony Sanders.

The itinerary does NOT have literacy, phonics, math, civics, or parental rights on the itinerary. Instead: diversity, mental health, online, and community schools. Meanwhile, IL students are struggling under the weight of a public education system that is failing them. Reading and math scores continue to plummet in IL through 2022. SEE WIREPOINTS

“Boys invading girls’ spaces, private spaces, this is a huge concern going into the fall and we will certain going to be keeping an eye on anything the Biden administration and the Secretary of Education is going to do regarding Title IX,” Adcock said.
