Here is the recording of tonight‘s webcast hosted by the inaugural chapter of Awake Naper:
This "Monday Take-Back" streamed online at the same time as Naperville D203 Board of Education meeting. This was intentional as it gave power back to the community with a platform beyond the board allotted 3 minutes. Awake IL advocates also spoke at tonight's board meeting which, is available to watch below.
Tonight's webcast gave an opportunity to registered participants to post questions and comments in the chat. Also, Chris Howse with Turning Point USA joined the discussion about free speech advocacy in schools. The Chicagoland area has seen a surge in Turning Point school-based chapters and welcomes new student groups. All it takes are THREE STUDENTS to band together and contact Chris regarding information on how to launch a new chapter. Awake IL supports this effort and will gladly support any student/school interested in this initiative.
Thanks to those of you who spoke at D203 BOE meeting and those who joined the Webcast. It's great to be able to delve into the issues our community is tackling together. We are Awake IL and they can't cancel us!
Hope you can join next week's webcast on Monday, June 14th at 7pm, which will highlight Indian Prairie School District 204 BOE Meeting! Check the events tab tomorrow for the Webcast registration link.
