Earlier this year, Awake Illinois stood at a crossroads, exploring new avenues of leadership. Since our July announcement, we’ve had an overwhelming wave of pleas from our supporters - hundreds of voices flooding our channels with calls to continue.
This made it crystal clear: our advocacy mission is far from over.
Other avenues of leadership can wait. Our team is being called to maintain the Awake Illinois efforts we started in 2021. Too few platforms dare to elevate the issues and amplify the voices of Illinois communities, but we're stepping up-bigger, bolder, and louder than ever.
We’re so inspired by the legacy of Illinois native Charlie Kirk who built Turning Point USA from scratch and grew his own independent national platform. Charlie boldly championed free speech, conservatism, and faith. His voice cannot be cancelled and his mission will continue to grow across America.
It’s quite clear that his death has ignited a giant awakening that can and should be supported by as many grassroots platforms as possible. As America picks up the microphone Charlie dropped on September 10th, Awake Illinois will do the same, plugging into the heart of Illinois and cranking the volume to eleven.
Our supporters have spoken, and we've answered. Illinois deserves a spotlight, and we're going to keep shining it, unapologetically, to continue forward in a spirit of truth and courage.
Our livestreams will be a robust form of information flow as our reach continues to grow. We want to elevate stories of the people who championing free speech, common sense, and faith across Illinois.
We invite you to join us as we make the people's voice impossible to ignore.
Together we will pick up the mic. For Charlie. For Illinois.
The people’s voice cannot be cancelled.
