4 Weeks to Election Day!

We are exactly 4 weeks away from November 8th. So, we have 28 days to Restore Common Sense to Illinois.

HOW WILL WE DO IT?

By door knocking in our communities and sharing media highlights with our contacts.

Easy, peasy.

CANVASSING 101

Thanks to the grassroots effort of the Restore Illinois coalition, thousands of doors have been knocked in DuPage, Lake, Will, and Kendall County. More knocks are needed! Door knocking is THE best return on investment to see a common sense candidate get elected. We have some final batches of bags available and have broken them down by Congressional District:

Each bag is to contain literature for Mike Burke/Mark Curran for IL Supreme Court, Darren Bailey for Governor, Thomas DeVore for Attorney General, the respective Congressional candidate, and a "NO to Amendment 1" flyer.

Restore Illinois coalition suggests getting a group of volunteers together, share some doughnuts, bagels, treats and get to stuffing! Ask your local civic groups, Mom groups, retiree groups, etc to help knock doors. Even just 20 minutes a day to knock on doors is HUGE.

HOW DO I GET BAGS and LITERATURE?

At this time, we are only coordinating with Awake IL Chapters, known grassroots advocate leaders, and precinct committee persons. Any of the above can email restoreillinois22@gmail.com to arrange pick-up/delivery of these FREE materials.

WHAT DO I SAY WHEN I GO DOOR KNOCKING?

The coalition provides a very simple script for anyone volunteering-even high school students can do it!

As you have completed or passed out bags for canvassing, if possible, please email restoreillinois22@gmail.com with an update as to how many doors were knocked and approximately where. This helps to avoid too much overlap with canvassing efforts.

MEDIA MATTERS

In today's world, news travels quickly. While Governor Pritzker and the bootlickers prefer to have various media outlets in their back pocket, grassroots efforts are empowering communities with prudent sources for information.

Chances are, you belong to text groups, parent groups, neighborhood groups, Facebook groups, etc. that share electronic information.

Maybe you share a website:
"Did you see this? It's called Pritzker Book? Interesting read!"

Perhaps you share a candidate forum:
"Did you see Tom DeVore for Attorney General totally SMOKE Kwame Raoul last night? Watch the clip!"

"Did you see Rep. Janet Yang Rohr LIED about the National Sex Ed Standards?! DuPage District 41 deserves better."

Or maybe it's a newspaper article:
"I knew Safe-T act was bad but THIS BAD?! Look at the criminals who would be released when cash bail is eliminated starting January 2023! We need to vote better November 8th."

You get the point. Use your own words and share any of the below resources in the ZIP FILE below as you see fit. This google drive folder will also have more uploads for you to share in the coming weeks:

Share the content by text, post to FB, email to your contacts. Knowledge is power and it's important to get common sense back to IL leadership.

Contact Restore IL Coalition with any questions and/or to arrange pick-up/delivery of canvassing materials.
