Naperville School District 203 and PANORAMA

On March 4, Naperville School District 203 approved a half million dollar Panorama System that will implement the "Student Success Platform". The district agenda reads "this partnership enhances our Multi-Tiered System of Support framework by providing a comprehensive solution for the collection and monitoring of data and interventions for students in Kindergarten through Connections."

Panorama has received considerable pushback from parents across the country who do NOT want their children's data mined in the interests of any "system" that will "triangulate" their survey answers on very sensitive topics. It effectively implements a student "social credit system" amidst the corrupted agenda known as "Social Emotional Learning" (SEL).

Our organization rejects the privacy intrusion of "digital backpacks" at the cost of hundreds of thousands of dollars. Schools should focus on academics, not data mining or social emotional learning. An illiterate child will not feel good, socially or emotionally.

Awake Illinois President Shannon Adcock spoke recently to the concerns shared by many parents over Panorama being the 2nd most widely used tool in Illinois for "mental health screenings".
